Being an Indie is a choice. Indie means deliberately choosing to "independently" produce work. Many people are only aware of traditional routes and what comes with mainstream success. But this is not that. While you sleep, there is no major machine working for you cranking out commercial opportunities you can just walk into. Being an Indie is not for everyone. The route is longer. There is no one-size-fits-all Playbook. Navigating this route takes some excruciating soul-searching, a lot of mental muscle, stamina, extreme love for your craft and a resourceful work ethic that is out of this world. Being an Indie creator, because of tight budgets, means you HAVE to wear many hats and balance many worlds while passionately perfecting a craft. So when people who GET that, support your grind, your hustle and WANT you to shine...that is a blessing beyond measure. As I approach my tenth year writing while working a demanding full-time job, educating people along the way about my Indie journey, I understand what a blessing it is to still be doing this creative thing, this Indie business thing. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making the recent 2018" Lit For Life" Book Tour a success! It came about as a surprise and a pleasant one at that - I really thought I was going to be sitting, writing this summer - what I call hibernating, but God had other plans and when HE speaks through the Universe, listen. Adjust. Stay ready. It has been LIT! I knew I wanted to do one book event. That is what I did have in mind. But God's plans are better. Ever since the first invitation to the next - all were opportunities to share stories. Stories allow us to connect, inspire and challenge one another on this journey. I have met some amazing people along the way and I have been humbled and happy to see long-time supporters - I wish you well and well-read! Forever grateful! Glory be to God! - Micole
